For prospective students, by current students
For prospective students, by current students
There’s nothing better than getting it told like it is.
Students are good at that.
So for starters, getting into medical school is no easy task.
We want to provide prospective students with a sound knowledge base with which to apply. By attending one of our workshops, you are immediately at an advantage over thousands of other applicants... AND due to extra demand for places last year, we are please to announce that there will be two dates to choose from this year.
The workshop is designed to last a full day and cover all key areas that prospective students want to know about when applying for medical school.
It will be most beneficial to those in Year 12 (lower sixth), but of course highly relevant to both year 11 who are considering their AS choices and year 13 who are approaching interviews and hopefully life as a medical student! As well as receiving all handouts in a personalised folder, the day will include a series of...
Introduction
Q&A sessions
with both current medical students and an entrance examiner for Medicine at University
Interactive keynote presentations
Group work on interview technique and personal statement writing
What is covered?
Introduction to Medicine
UCAS and the Personal Statement
Entrance Exams
The Interview
Choice of universities, types of courses, the future,
how long will it take?
Application process, deadlines, Oxbridge, how to write a winning
personal statement.
UKCAT and BMAT - Including sample questions
Communication, what to research and practice, the “Do’s and Don’ts”
Life as a medical student, the typical day, fresher’s week
And when I get to medical school...?
Be at an advantage.
More Information
We believe that the workshop is extremely competitively priced compared to others who offer the same advice. They are often up to 4x more expensive! See our feedback page regarding the comments we have had.
What is unique about our approach is that it led entirely by medical students themselves, who have recently been through the whole application process. We think this allows the best opportunity to pass on the most reliable information to those looking to start the path to becoming a doctor.

All the presentations will be provided as handouts, however we actively
encourage note taking during the day. - Paper and a pen may be useful!
A calculator will also be useful for the UKCAT/BMAT sessions.
There will be break periods held throughout the day where
